Pioneered by ascetic monks, this process reflects the pinnacle of physical self-control. Through a brief but strenuous mental effort of concentration and self-denial, one may achieve a state where one takes only half the normal damage in a fight. This exertion is draining; it costs plenty in mana and in blood. Note that the Gods will not grant additional support through the SANCTUARY spell to one while he is employing this form of self-protection.
Prerequisite(s): Concentrate.
Syntax: cast 'iron monk'.
